Cambrian Aquatics CIC is a not-for-profit organisation with a social mission to provide aquatic benefits to the people of Connah’s Quay and potentially the wider Flintshire area. They are driven by community needs rather than shareholder profit.
Ours aims and objectives at Cambrian Aquatics CIC are:
Providing diverse and excellent aquatic activities for the local community. This encompasses a wide range of programs, from learn-to-swim to performance pathways, and inclusive para-swimming.
Promoting health, well-being, and social engagement through participation in aquatic activities.
Creating an inclusive environment where individuals of all abilities can access and enjoy the benefits of swimming and other water-based sports. This is highlighted by their efforts to establish programs for disabled swimmers.
Offering a pathway for young people to develop careers in the leisure industry within their local area. Providing apprenticeships and training opportunities.
Ensuring the long-term financial viability and operation of the Connah’s Quay Swimming Pool as a community asset.
Increasing participation in swimming across the community, aiming to become a flagship “learn to swim” organisation.
Contributing to the local economy and social fabric of Connah’s Quay by creating a vibrant and thriving space.
Striving for sustainability by improving energy efficiency and reducing their carbon footprint.
